Mothers Day the Rock Star Way

Ok... so we are having this huge event at the salon this month. I, of course began stressing as soon as I thought about the event. I wanted to treat my mom to relaxation, allow her to get her beauty on, and capture it for me and my children. My mom never wears makeup or takes pictures so I decided to treat her to it all in one day.
Rock Star MUM'S day will be just that.. a day we at hair addictions give our guest (your mom's) the Rock Star treatment. they will enjoy.
This 2 hour venture begins with the raindrop healing treatment. Raindrop is designed to stimulate every organ muscle and bone of the body at the cellular level.through young living essential oils the immune system gets a boost, massage techniques brings the body into structural/ electrical balance. It enables the release of toxins or disease or whatever is lodged into the in the mind and body and emotions. Deep HUH?
Next is the Rock Star manicure or pedicure. Now this is a dry sparkle  nail treatment that Glams up the ok Star feel.
now we all know we cant go ROCK Star without getting a make over. So we are doing smoky eyes and fabulous makeup for the finale... the photo shoot.
What a way to end a great day.

Changing your hair color? Changing your attitude?

Ok... As a hairstylist, I have seen amazing transformations. The perfect hair style, cut, and condition can make you feel like a different person. Now feeling like a different person is good. Changing your hair shape is good. But if you want to truly ROCK your ( and everyone else's) world you would go for BOLD , Face shaping, Contouring, illusion making, hair color! Color provides amazing illusions for your hair!
In a snap (or a few hours) you can go from Great to FABULOUS!
Think about this, have you seen a brunette go blonde? I have and she cant get over herself. A dirty blonde, go to a rich chocolate with splashes of red, how about a fair skinned person go total beyonce, with streaks of caramel, gold, and pale blonde, What? ???

 Its time to ROCK EVERYONES WORLD with some HOT COLOR.

Now...  how to proceed...

1. Find a PROFESSIONAL HAIR STYLIST ... one that know what they are doing. They should be experts in color. Ask questions...
2. Use Pictures (this is a must) Make sure you and your Pro have the same vision.
3. Be open to suggestions. Now, I know we all think we know what is best, but , that is not always the case. Your Pro should be familiar with the color wheel, skin tone, under tones, natural undertones, and your personal color palate. If you do not have one, you must have them make one for you asap!
4. Have fun and relax. You are on the Hot Diva roller coaster, and nobody's pressing the stop button.

Raindrops are falling on my head!

Well the raindrops were not really on my head they were on my back. 

Today I had the most wonderful Spa treatment. It is a back therapy that is amazing. I heard rumurs of how great it is but that is definately an understatement.
There was 9 different pure Essential oils used during the therapy, they all had benefical effects on my body, and spirit.
During the consultation/ training I was told that it is not unusual for someone to have an emotional release.
WTH!
Ok.... I didnt quite undrstand. But evrybody has there thing so I thought whatever!
So the purpose of this treatment (I Was told), was to stimulate every organ, muscle and bone of the body at the cellular level through the oils, boosting the immune system, bringing the body into structural and electrical balance, and releasing toxins, or disease whatever is lodged (including mind and emotions).

I decided to go first during the training. The first thing you do is balance.... I immediately began laughing, I could not control it! As the trainer (Tina) said " Its OK, just let it go". I was thinking, let what go, I dont know why Im laughing?!!!!
Guest What! It was an emotional RELEASE! I feel so much better. We continued on with the training and I learned life changing techniques that will benefit everyone I know. We measured my height before the therapy and then afterward. I WAS AN FULL INCH TALLER!  NO JOKE! Toya and Brianna was aligned 1/4 to 1/2 inch taller. but I got 1 full inch. I bet it was because of the emotional release!

So I get home and start performing vitaflex (technique) on my 2 year old. Im so charged I cant sleep. I feel good.

Hair Conditioning Recipies

 There are so many hair products on the market that claims to do wonders for your hair. Think about it. How many products do you see when you walk into a beauty store, hundreds. If you are in a place like ULTA thousands. So the question becomes this. What are the basic products that we need to maintain healthy hair?

Now I know the answer. But I want to see if my guest that has been with me for years can give it a shot.

Nail Salon Fears!

Here is the truth. I dont really enjoy people touching my feet. I love to have them manicured and massaged but I am very ticklish and have had some embarassing experiences because of it.
(Never Kick Your manicurist in the face... always a bad move.)

Well I went to LA ofr an hair show. I was presenting so I decided I had to get my feet right. Wearing open toes shoes I had no other way to go. Well I went to a "chop Shop" my friend suggested and It was a really bad experience. The service was OK but when my operator reached into a drawer of implements that looked as if they had not been sanitized in a while... I should have headed for the hills.

I walked out with a OK pedi and a whole in my toe nail 1 month later. I later found out that state board wanted to shut the place down due to sanitary violations.

My advice-
If you feel that it is wrong stop the process. That includes nails, hair, massage, etc.
